MEDILCO was founded in 1992 by the enthusiastic Mr. Michael Gagos, whose history in the fertilizer sector dates back to 1974, when he entered the neoclassical building of the Bodossaki Foundation on Amalias Street in the centre of Athens, which had a monopoly on fertilizer in Greece until 1992.
Twenty-five years later with the liberalization of the fertilizer market in 1992 a new journey begins, that of MEDIL & CO Ltd which then evolved into Medilco Hellas S.A. with the main activity of wholesale trade of raw materials for animal feed, chemicals and fertilizers.
With passion and love for the primary sector, since 2000 we have chosen to invest in specialized nutrition, in our people, in our partnerships and to place more specialized nutrition products directly on the market in order to support the professional grower.
Medilco is growing significantly in Greece, becoming a leader in specialized products and expanding in South East Europe and the Middle East.
We started our journey by importing high quality products. We continue to work as the exclusive distributor of companies such as Nutrien, Herogra Group and Adob, member of Nouryon. As MEDILCO, we produce our products with the highest levels of quality in the most modern fully automated production and packaging system.
Our Model Production Unit in the heart of Greece, in Boeotia, is equipped with state-of-the-art automated machinery for the production and packaging of granular and crystalline fertilizers with unique technologies.
The company’s complete catalogue of granular, crystalline, biostimulants, trace elements and specialty products not only covers the needs of all crops with specialized formulations but also provides solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges such as climate change.
